Event 6: Dunhuang.com announced the launch of the "Star Factory" plan

Incident 7: Alibaba is suspected of throwing nearly $400 million at Lazada
On May 10, Southeast Asian e-commerce platform Lazada recently issued an additional US$378 million in new shares to its parent company, Alibaba Group, according to a document from ACRA (Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority of Singapore). It is reported that this capital increase may be related to Lazada's global layout. Previously, some media reported that Alibaba plans to expand Lazada's business to Europe, and Lazada will cooperate with AliExpress to be responsible for overseas local e-commerce and cross-border e-commerce respectively, and Cainiao International will provide warehousing and logistics support to both.
Event 8: Ali International Station launched ten cross-border foreign trade bailouts
On May 20, Alibaba International recently officially launched ten cross-border foreign trade relief measures, including five definite measures such as deterministic business opportunity protection, definite logistics guarantee, definitive capital financial guarantee, definitive service guarantee and definitive talent guarantee, covering all key links of cross-border e-commerce. It is reported that as part of the "Digital Outlet to the Sea" plan of Alibaba International Station, some of the measures in the ten bailouts, such as cross-border logistics and capital services, have been launched at the end of March, and have benefited 13,000 merchants on the platform so far, with a capital scale of more than 1.25 billion yuan.
Event 9: eBay Releases "Fujian Overseas Plan"
On June 6, the second China Cross-border E-commerce Fair (Cross-border Fair) was held in Fuzhou, at which eBay released the "Fujian Products Going Global Plan", aiming at Fujian's advantageous subdivided industrial belt, starting from the selection, traffic and operation that sellers care about, helping Fujian and national cross-border e-commerce enterprises and traditional foreign trade enterprises to vigorously explore overseas markets through the eBay platform, achieve transformation and upgrading, and let China's high-quality goods and brands sail overseas. Event 10: Shopee starts layoffs
On June 15, Southeast Asian e-commerce giant Shopee recently began to lay off employees, while announcing large-scale layoffs in several countries, and it was reported that almost half of the employees of Shopee Food and Shopee Pay in Thailand will be affected. In addition to Thailand, the layoffs will also affect Shopee Food and Shopee Pay employees in multiple markets, including Indonesia and Vietnam. Previously, at the International Town Hall meeting, executives from Shopee's parent company, Sea Group, announced the layoffs to employees, but did not mention the specific reasons for the layoffs, and Shopee employees said that the company informed them that they would send a layoff notice email in the near future.
